We at Small World provide for a comfortable and safe environment. Through a variety of daily activities your child will develop age appropriate social skills. Much emphasis is placed on self esteem, which fosters emotional growth and independence. Making your child happy and meeting his/her individual needs is our main priority here at Small World.

**Extended hours available from 7:00 to 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.** **Any parent/guardian picking up a child after closing time will be charged a flat fee of $20.00 per hour.** Parents must notify the school if their child is to be released to anyone other than themselves. All children are dismissed from school upon contact with parent or other authorized person. Small World is not responsible for children enroute to and from school. |
ABOUT SMALL WORLD NORTH
Small World North was founded September 1976. Our non-sectarian school and curriculum is approved by the New York State Department of Education as well as Yonkers Board of Education.
Small World North has always been recognized for its small class sizes. Our school is staffed by qualified and dedicated teachers. An innovative and flexible curriculum is planned by each teacher. It is our goal to help build a solid foundation for future success.
In addition to our classroom teachers, we also staff teachers' aides to assist in classrooms when necessary.
Each of our classrooms at Small World have been carefully planned to provide a stimulating atmosphere where real learning exists.
The classrooms are equipped with a variety of "hands on" manipulative toys to further enhance small motor development. In addition to this, each classroom has very defined areas of play. These include a learning circle area, block corner, truck/car area, kitchen center, doll corner and book nook.
Cleanliness has always been a high priority at Small World. Our school is cleaned each evening by a professional cleaning service. Antiseptic cleaners are used to help prevent the spread of germs.
Once enrolled, each parent will receive a school calendar listing holidays/school closings.
